TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE
THAI-OIL MASSAGE

Thai Oil Massage is used to provide massage to the body by gently massaging with tender touch oils and can be used as a part of the treatment of Thai Body Massage. Best results can be achieved with the application of correct hand strokes for massage. It provides best flexibility to the body and increases the pumping of oxygen to various organs of the body providing better health.

Thai massage or Thai yoga massage is an ancient healing system combining acupressure and assisted yoga postures.Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked.

The true ancient style of the massage requires that the massage be performed solo with just the giver and receiver. The receiver will be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, that is also combined with deep static and rhythmic pressures.

The massage generally follows designated lines ("sen") in the body. The legs and feet of the giver can be used to position the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fix the body, while the feet do the massaging. A full Thai massage session may last two hours and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. This may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, and moving the recipient's body into many different positions. There is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, which the giver will adjust to fit the receiver.

HALF-BODY THAI MASSAGE

If you prefer we offer a Half-Body Thai Massage which is a partial massage session for either the top body including the back, neck, head, and shoulders or the lower body including the lower back legs and feet. This is available in both Traditional Thai Massage or Thai-Oil Massage.

FOOT MASSAGE

Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the feet and also lower legs. Thai foot massage is both invigorating and deeply relaxing and involves hands on massage, stretching and acupressure to stimulate reflex points. It has elements of Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Chinese massage, incorporated into the treatment.

This wonderfully enjoyable foot massage dates back more than two thousand years, originating in China, and is seen all over Thailand today. Treatment includes working on 'Sen' lines, which are from the Ayurvedic tradition and are the equivalent to the meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The techniques of Thai Foot Massage are thought to stimulate and open these energy channels, leaving you feeling relaxed, balanced and invigorated.

Thai Foot Massage is great for tired feet, improving circulation and lymph movement in the feet and lower legs, and improving flexibility. If you have tried reflexology, you will also enjoy this fabulous treatment, but will be surprised at how different the techniques feel! Certainly, like reflexology, you will leave the session feeling relaxed, yet energized and invigorated!

Benefits of Thai Foot Massage are:

  • Improves circulation in feet and legs

  • Improves lymphatic drainage

  • A boost for the immune system

  • Reduces stiffness and improves flexibility

  • Encourages physical healing

  • Stress relief

  • Improves sleep

  • Lifts your mood

  • Improves concentration and clarity of mind

  • Leaves you with a general feeling of tranquillity, calmness and wellbeing

The effects may be felt at the first treatment, or it may take a few treatments for changes to be noticed.
